Trebic
Trebic was once an important centre of Jewish life and culture in Moravia and it is one of the oldest Jewish settlements in the country. The very well preserved Jewish quarter boasts more than 120 original densely built houses, narrow and crooked alleys, dark corners and charming squares. Two synagogues, the Town Hall, school house, rabbinate and poorhouse are still preserved here. The Rear Synagogue, decorated with paintings from the 18th century, houses an exhibition on the history of the former ghetto. The Front Synagogue serves today as a prayer hall of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church.
Cesky Krumlov
Telc
The inner, historical part of Telc is one of the several Czech sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is an admirable collection of houses, churches and other buildings, which look very much like they did when they were built in the 14th century and re-built, be it in Gothic, Renaissance or Baroque styles.
